These bums threatened to have my wife arrested within 45 minuets of the call if I hung up. I told them to come on over. If you type in the first 6 numbers of the phone no. on google it comes up that they are in New York city. I called the police right after the call and they told me it was a scam. I asked if they could trace the phone no. and do something about it and they said they couldn't. what's that all about? If I can trace the no. myself to New York why can't the police have these people arrested?

This is a horrible scam.  I have received three phone calls saying IRS is going to file a lawsuit against me.  I did not answer the phone calls but let them go to voice mail.  I have filed a complaint with the Treasury Dept.

What a great opportunity, Think I'll put them through the "I'm holding your daughter hostage" and when they deny it being their daughter I'll do the "No Excuses No Exception" routine. I just think you guys lack imagination.

Received a call this morning from (347) 349-4964 and a woman with broken English and a somewhat British sounding accent said she was calling from an investigation portion of the IRS and that there was a case against me that I hadn't responded to. She was able to identify me by names and she said 2 letters had been sent out and they hadn't heard from me. She very accusingly asked me "Why haven't you responded to our notices?!" I asked what address they had on file and they provided one where I haven't lived in over 4 years, and I file my taxes annually. I said I don't live there and she asked if I'd updated my mailing information with the IRS. I told her I had no knowledge of any such thing and that if the IRS really wanted to find me then they could do so. I told her never to call again and hung up.
