Just received a phone call from a man telling me that I have a problem with my computer whitch is not true. He said he can repair it over the Internet involving the installation of a software with my permission. I think it's a fraud . . .

I have received a phone call from a woman telling me she is working for Windows and that my computer, controled by someone else, is sending  messages to them and wanted to help me to fix it. I refused her help. The call was from #970-532-4563.
I am from Montréal Canada.

Same as the above. Clearly a scam. I'm from the same region as Gaets and Andrée. They tell me Windows is sending them error messages and they want to help me fix the situation. Strangely enough, they called as my computer wasn't booting anymore. I told the woman "since when does Windows call me to fix anything instead of the other way around?" and she hangs up in my face. How unprofessional ! XD. Scamity scam, beware.

Same scam but they have information about my address when I registered my computer (it was my former address). The lady after threatening me of cancelling my registration passed me a guy with same Indian accent from the info department. He told me calling from Florida and when I asked him to tell me which kind of computer I have he hang up. My computer too was not boot for 2 days and when I told them that they changed their version saying they are receiving error messages since 3-4 days!! Clearly a scam and I'm in Montreal, Quebec too so be careful.

Got a call from some person claiming a breach in my operating system. Presently completing a degree in Computer Science and thought the best way one could annoy these types is to waste their time once they happen to call the wrong person. Had the idiot chasing his tail for 10+ minutes until he finally gave up as I was playing stupid but kept making him think I wanted to go ahead with their solution. These criminals are so stupid.
