i received a recorded vm (female voice) stating to call 970-315-1313 back because the IRS was filing a law suit against me... i called back the phone did not ring then a man with a foreign accent picked up and said his name was officer Alex Jackson and gave me a badge and case number and then stated i owe the IRS and they were going to issue out a warrant if i did not agree to pay a certain amount in the next 4 hours. i agreed and he placed me on hold to send me to a accountant and that was when i realized it was a scam and disconnected call.

Just received the same call about the IRS had a lawsuit against me. I'm not stupid!! Definitely a SCAM!!!!

This just happened to me about 15 mins ago.  Had me terrified, talking about send the $1,000 and that they cant send me any documentations nor a letter. i said i have not received anything in the mail and they all sound like they were from another country and reading off a card or computer.  can anything be done to stop these people from contacting,scaring them and all.

My message was the same thing. I told caller that the IRS does not call you. Then he hung up.

I just received the same message about 2 min ago.  I have received this type of call before it is a SCAM!!  I work for the government and know that the IRS would never start any type of action without first notifying an individual by mail that there was an issue.  If you have the ability to BLOCK the number then do it!  This is just another thief trying to steal from the good honest tax paying public!  Maybe Pres. Trump could do something worth while and get these SCAMMERS under control!
