I received a nearly identical call yesterday afternoon... only my voicemail was from "Sue Murphy" from a number in New York (800 miles away) and she was a "private process server." She claimed that she had been "routed" to come serve me with a summons at my place of employment - she provided the name of my employer. She did also suggest that I call this "attorney" Michael Thompson (same number as yours in South Carolina best I can tell) so she could serve me somewhere other than my place of employment. Instead, I called MY attorney. He told me to do nothing that this was an intimidation tactic used by some lowlife debt collectors - often without any ability to validate the debt. So, I've done nothing and I now wait to see if she (or anyone) shows up today between 10-12 as she claimed they would. I'd be interested in knowing how your situation turns out.
