Max Lara contacted my business and when I told them I was working with another settlement company. Max said they are the same company. I contacted my rep to find out if this is true only to be told they are in direct competition and not affiliated with the company I am working with. I researched Max's company only to find out his company is a complete scam and full of liars. Their business owner does not even use his legal name. Their are many disturbing remarks on 800 notes. The BBB has lots of complaints for billing issues. I would never do business with a company like them. Max do not call my company and stop lying.

Every consumer has a choice to use services to help them settle outside of court.  The company in question, Cain & Daniels only works for clients that admit the debt.  If you are in dispute, they will not take you as a client.  They do not do bill board or print advertising to keep costs low and therefor a client can only find out about the services by a case representative calling the business, which is only found on public record with a recent legal action related to a debt.  They do not accept any money unless they perform the service of a debt settlement.  There cannot be a scam if the client admits the debt and is not in dispute and the service is validated through an attorney prior to completing the service.  If someone (other than the intended) was called in error, as this can happen when a company does not have a clear number listed and an erroneous number is associated to that potential client in error, it is not malicious or to scam.  This happens in error and we all move on to the next task. www.cainanddaniels.com

Cain and Daniels representatives led me to believe that I would "save about half" on my settlement.  Turns out I have to pay the full amount PLUS a $1200 fee for the service!  I was completely scammed by these people!!  As soon as they got my money which they did by informing me that they had negotiated this deal with the other lawyer, now i cannot get a response, only that I must pay the full amount!?!?!?  How can they get away with this?

Received a call from a Max Lora today at 813-658-3313. VERY important to call him back. Thanks for having this information available. Had a feeling it was a scam. will report to Oregon Dept of Justice instead.
