I received eight calls from Goodman Stern & Assoc.  The first seven calls were asking the whereabouts of a person I have never heard of.  I repeatedly told the caller that my number was given in error and to please correct their records.  I had no idea what business was calling or why they wanted to speak to the unknown person.  I was told that it would take about two weeks to take my phone number out of their system.

Today I received a call from this number telling me that I would be served with legal papers tomorrow.  I accused them of a scam and told the caller that I was reporting these calls to the Fraud Div. of our loval District Atty. which I did.

I later learned that all of these numbers were from the same company,

no process server will call to confirm where you are going to be to serve papers.   only idiots would go for this.   Never confirmed my name/ address.   When I asked them to confirm the info they had for me all they had were excuses!   SCAM!!!

Called again at 9:30 -since I have a caaler ID I know this is the caller that said they will served papers and document but can not reach me.

thank you for all your notes.....it reallly does make a difference.....i got a caller id phone for my elderly mother because of these calls....we no longer answer any calls we do not know.......this call comes almost daily since i answered it once before and hung up after they started to tell me about the "court papers"
