Dear,
Recruiting agencies ask for SSN just to check if you have ever worked with a particular client recruiter is recruiting for. If you have worked wit that client then "are you eligible for re-hire?". even if you never worked with that particular client still SSN is needed as exp part from resume can be removed. Not all clients needs  SSN. Some of them need last 4 digits of SSN. some of them need full SSN. And your SSN is fully safe and confidential. It is put in a confidential database as soon as recruiters receive it. Only hiring manager can access it. No one else can access it.

Thanks,
Recruiter,

This is a SCAMSTER. A guy by name Arun called up to me and said he had a position in Bank of America. I was looking out jobs and got a call from them and sent my resume to them. He called up the next day and said he needed my SSN. THAT WAS SO WEIRD. I then got to know that he sits in India and is operating from India. I blasted him over phone and cross questioned him so much that he was so scared and did not know what to talk. NEVER TRUST THEM. They don't even give you the address of their Delhi address (where they operate from).. Literally [***]!!!

I have worked for Rose International before, I also worked at Bank of America, OREO/Asset Management Department.  This company is VERY REAL. No as for the person who called you, I am not sure about them, but I did work for this company and Bank of America and Rose International is real. You need to go here to check them out:

http://www.roseint.com/ContingentWorkforceServices/staffing.htm

That is the real company website and you can find all the information you need from them.  I worked with someone by the name of Erika Matthews, but I believe she is no longer there.  If they call you again talk to them, they pay really well!

I apologize about that, but its an out-of-state staffing firm. There are alot of a-holes looking to take advantage of companies like this, but they are a real company. Go to their website:

http://www.roseint.com/ContingentWorkforceServices/staffing.htm

You can see where the locations are.

I'm actually in awe of all the dumb people on here. Rose Int. is NOT a scam! I have been working with them for Bank of America for about two months now! Who ever said that BOA does their own recruiting is saying the truth but MOST of their recruiting is done by staffing agencies. They only ask for your SSN when they have to submit the background check! Maybe if a few of you had called them back without getting freaked out by the fact that the person on the other line is from India than you would have gotten the job with an opportunity of becoming a permanent employee!
