I got a call from these Bozo's around Christmas time. They demanded money, even though I told them I was paying the debt through Consumer Credit(United Way non-profit).  I told them to call them and get things squared away.  Then, a guy named Chad Allen hounded me and suggested that I borrow money from my parents to pay off the debt as a settlement. He then transferred me to an older guy, who told me that he was going to sue me and that I would be responsible for all of their costs.  They were so unbelievably rude and just plain ol' MEAN!!!  Finally, the older guy said,"I will be investigating this further and you'll be hearing from us!"  He abruptly hung up.  I can't even explain how angry I was and I couldn't understand how they can treat people that way and actually go home and sleep at night, knowing how horribly rotten they truly are.  They are the epitomy of Phone Thugs and are despicable people.  I did not hear from them until last week, leaving a reference number, it was Chad Allen, again.  I do not answer when they call.  I am recording all messages they leave and saving them...and looking for an attorney.

Don't pay a dime.  The statute of limitations is up.  They cannot collect.  Write a form letter stating that the SOL has expired.  There is a form letter that you can copy and paste and put your own stuff in it.  Send it certified mail and also a copy with a receipt of mailing.  MAKE A COPY FOR YOURSELF!!! I learned alot from this site and I have made three collection agencies stop calling for very old, small debts.  I now pay my bills on time, though.

The clapping and cheering was probably the other scumbags in the background, because they suckered someone into paying a bogus debt...

A LADY CALLED WITH VERY HEAVY ACCENT.. I CAN HARDLY UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE WAS TRYING TO SAY OVER THE PHONE. I TOLD HER SHE HAD A WRONG NUMBER THEN SHE START GOING OFF ON ME. I WASN'T EVEN THE PERSON SHE'S LOOKING FOR.... RUDE PPL

This law office has been calling me asking for someone I do not even know.  I called them back and they threaten me.  I don't even know the person they are looking for.  I told them I was going to call the Attorneys Generals office and they hung up on me. I called back and the lady who answered the phone started yelling at me so I just blocked their number. I won't be hearing from them again.
