I have a four year old debt going on five. At this point I am still unable to pay off my debt. My original creditor was Chase (now JP Morgan), who sold it to UNIFUND, who in turn sold it to Account Portfolio Management, LLC, represented by Mr. Laurence A. Hecker, Attorney at Law. I would have hoped to settle this with Chase but apparently, they found it to be more cost effective to sell the debt to a 3rd party then to engage in legal proceedings. It seems my account is still active at Account Portfolio Mgmt since I am still actively receiving calls with complementary debt.
I don't blame Mr.Hecker and his establishment for what they do; they are in the debt collection business. Debt is debt, and this debt is no different; I just wish they wouldn't stress me out. Hopefully, the economy will turn around; meanwhile, I will have to juggle between stall tactics and on negotiating a fair settlement for myself and Acct. Port. Mgmt.
Thanks for reading (Almost feels like a confession).
