OK - so I got a call about an hour from these people. They stated they were calling with 'citi-bank' and I had an outstanding balance. I tell them I'm willing to make a payment plan - they say OK, I give them my employer, how much money I make, and that I'm married with 1 child. They verify my address - which wasn't right - then transfer me over to another guy - who starts YELLING at me when I won't pay the full amount. So I hang up. They call back - and say they are sorry - and said they could only 'fax' something to me and wanted a payment then. My husband tells them, no - we want something in writing. So I start thinking something is fishy - find this site - and low and behold - it is a SCAM! They had BITS and PIECES of my information - and foolishly - I thought they were really working for CITIBANK - and were willing to work for them. So five minutes ago - I call and ask for the guy I originall spoke with - and my first question is "What kind of law do you practice" His response???? "UH UH - UM" So I ask again! He still stammers. I tell him I just spoke with Citibank and they stated they did not use their services. Again - I stated "What law do you practice?" And he stammers. He then said "We're attorney's." I said really? My dad is an attorney - practices family law - what law do YOU practice? He stammers again - I tell him I'm reporting fraud - and hung up. They have called back now while I'm typing this. BEWARE!!!! Do not give them ANY information. I'm now going to contact my credit bureus and report this to protect myself - and then have my father get to the bottom of this. I should have known - Huh?
