We thought this was a scam until my wife return were with held. There is no statues on federal taxes according to our attorney

If you're implying that your wife owed federal taxes, and this number called to tell you that, but you ignored them, you should know that the IRS Never calls anyone -

And if you're trying to imply that your wife's taxes were held for another debt, you'd have to first get a judgement against you, and before that would happen, you'd have LOTS and LOTS of mail.

Why don't ya give us the name and address associated with this company. It'll be on the mountain on paperwork they sent prior to taking to you court.

Hello David Slaughter I received a call from this number earlier today has anyone been able to locate exactly where this number is calling from?

I received a call implying that I received a card for the amount of $14,000 from HSBC bank which I never applied for. This guy called my husband and my mother and he had all of my social security information. I googled the number to the HSBC bank annd when I called they had no record of my information nor was anything ever reported on my credit report which I have been working on for the past 5 years and I have never seen such a collection on my report. I called back to ask questions and he was very rude and hung up on me I would like to know what can be done about him having the access to my personal information I do not feel safe.

I got a call from this guy on the 10th he had my correct social got belligerent with me claimed I owed Home Depot 8 grand  he had me on video  basically talked like he was  going to drive from TX to Missouri to beat me up if I didn't give him a payment over  the phone   then threatened to take all my tax returns. I hung up and blocked the number! The next day I blocked my number and called the number back,the same man answered and I said nothing, he then yelled " Mr. Jackson please stop calling my office and harassing me"  I laughed and hung up .  It just confirmed  he is a scammer  I have since reported him to the Missouri Attorney general and BBB and anyone else I could report him to.
