Debt is not a criminal matter, it is civil. Look at it this way if they had the stones to take you to court they still have to prove they can lawful collect debts in your state, prove they have the right to the money, and back it up with a validation by mail. GEt their address and send them a cerftified letter that you do not want them to call you by phone and validate the so called debt.

Something need to be done about this.At first i fell for it but when i mentioned the wrong payday loan company,  sam paylor(fake name) agreed that's when i knew it wasn't right and then i mentioned the right one and he said yeah and tried to play it off. Then i asked him don't you have all my information he said yeah and i asked how much was my loan and he said $497.81. that raised another flag, so i decided to research and then called my loan company. he finally noticed that after all his threat i was asking too many questions and no longer stressed or pissed and was like whn you hang up I'm filing the report and you will be arrested and I told him you will be in jail before me if you are in theU.S. But don't worry when you get a call from them and never pay them anything and contact you lender. Because they will tell you there is nothing your lender can do and try to act like they ate not worried about the money and just want you in jail.
Remember debt is a civil matter not criminal

THAT IS A SCAM THEY TRYING TO GET MONEY OFF PEOPLE  THEY KEEP CALLING ME

I received numerous calls from 423-758-3355 stating that I owe a debt and that if I don't pay, they will take civil actions against me. I advised them to give me the case number they were filing and I would have my attorney contact them. I stopped receiving calls after that. I checked my work voice messages today and they left the same message. I have a previous employer who handles cases against this type of matter whereas they have filed lawsuits against the unscrupulous debt collectors and won. I am in good standing with the payday loan company I utilize and they are aware of the bogus solicitors trying to extort their clients for money. I will be changing my contact information today. I too have had this# call me with the same threatening tactics as most of the aforementioned comments..I filed a complaint with the consumer financial protection bureau..the Ohio attorney General as well as the Tennessee attorney General..the tactics they use are against thelaw..they are not allowed to threaten imprisonment which is what they are doing..I highly suggest anyone that reads this and has had this kind of treatment from this#  to please do the same..they claim there law firm is called u.r.law firm..Bristol Tennessee and the so called paralegals name that threatened me was nelson martin..please file a report to stop these criminals..
