Same call I just recieved. The caller ID listed it as 423-445-4286.  Same message about trying to serve me papers many times unsuccessfully.  To call 978-856-8289 immediately.  Okay dude sure thing.  Funny thing is, I am pretty sure my mailbox or front door does not discriminate.  Come on over and knock on it you [***] !!!!   He can suck it !!!

Scam!!!!!!

Got a call from them today, started out as an automated call and then allowed me to talk to a rep. I did and the lady I spoke with was saying I owed an unpaid debt from 2012/2013 and they've sent multiple letters and emails to me. The lady kept asking me if I knew anyone who would commit fraud against me (such as family or an ex bf maybe) and I told her my family and I are on good terms and I haven't had a bf in about 8 years and my ex lives in another country, and she still wanted to continue to tell me that one of them committed fraud against me if the debt wasn't really mine. She then said if I don't take care of it today with her, the company was going to process papers to be served to me via work and my home. After being asked twice who the company that wanted to serve me was, she finally said it was a company called midland financial. I asked her to send me papers VIA MAIL and I'd call back once I had looked them over, and she said she couldn't because they did everything electronically so that the courts could see it received via isp. I told her to send them via certified mail and I'd sign for them at the post office, and she still said they can't, and that they're not a collections agency, just mediation. I ended up getting transferred to another woman who kept telling me the same thing, and I told her it's the LAw to send me certified mail to review. Let me tell you, if someone wanted to sue me, I'd have known about it way before now and NOT through a phone call, and especially not without first recieving letters in the mail about outstanding payday loan debts. Scammers!!!!

they called me too I told them f you I was not going to give them any money period as she was blabbering and hung up  they called back as I was calling attorney geneneral.  Please people report these scams to your state attorney general as I talked to mine in Minnesota and they wanted the info.  They have charged this midland company before for this crime and are willing to go punish them again.  The more states that punish them maybe they will not be trying this anymore  Its a scam  the lady I talked to couldn't even pinpoint an acuurate amount owed  it was somewhere between 3 and 500 at first she claimed it was 500 when I told her I know I never had any loan for 500 it changed to the 3-500  that's when I told her where to shove it.

received phone call today on home phone phone number came up 423-445-4286. Recording of man saying several attempts had been made to contact a person (unnamed) about changes to an account. They didn't state who they were calling for or what company they work for. Left a number from a different state to have a lawyer contact them.
