Ken, it is a telemarketing call.  It started like this, "has you or anyone you know  recently been diagnosed with Arthritis? If so, you can earn $1,000 blah blah blah. I hung up.

Do people really troll internet forums for telemarketer phone numbers just to pose this question? Maybe you let it go to voicemail, but this forum obviously aided you in your search of an unknown number, so be thankful some people pick up. Businesspeople, salespeople, offices, etc., can't simply ignore unknown numbers. They pick up, then report the results here.

Ken, you're a moron dude. Nobody here cares the specifics of the definition of a telemarketer vs. a survey call. Most alleged survey calls are just telemarketers pretending to be taking a survey to try to skirt the law...haven't you ever seen an internet popup that says "Choose your favorite! McDonalds or Burger King!" Do you think it's an actual survey, or simply an advertisement? Don't be so naive. Both types of calls are annoying, unsolicited, unwanted phone calls, so when people generalize and call them all telemarketers, you're going to have to get over it. Otherwise, you'll be spending years on this website annoying people trying to correct them over a nuance that really does not matter.
