Basically same story with me. Called and left a robo message on my home phone and kept calling my cell. Of course I got scared, called back was told the same  story- payday taken in 2010- which I did have one loan, that was paid in full. Litigation was pending, etc...wouldn't provide me with exact info- only said the company was called "sagamore" and financed many different payday loan companies, so she couldn't tell me. I actually agreed to an installment plan, and then after doing more research and talking to an attorney, I called back and told her I wanted to cancel my arrangement until I was able to get validation of the debt. She told me she "couldn't do that" and I'd have to talk to the judge. I said, ok, then I will and I'm cancelling my debit card- which I did immediately. A few days later, she called again to let me know that she had sent paperwork over to my employer and actually gave me the girls name in my HR dept! I called them and this place, DID send over something- using a totally different name than she gave me, to verify my employment as being PT or FT. that was it. I think they felt like they got me so far, and that would push me over the edge into believing it...
I have not called back and won't. if there is something out there, and I get served- then shame on me..but I believe this is a total scam!

I did not recognize the phone number so I didn't answer. A robotic voice was left on my voicemail saying I have involved in some finance matter.Thanks for this website. It helps me to know that I am ok and I am not in trouble if I don't call them back!.

My husband and I keep getting calls from them. We figured that it was a scam and have tried to block their numbers. Obviously, in CA they are breaking ALL kinds of state and federal laws in regards to the Fair Debt Collections Act. First by threatening or saying that they are in any way lawyers or arbitrators or that their is a false case against you/pending. There are several more violations of the law by falsely accusing you of a debt that is not collectable due to statute of limitations, bankruptcy discharges, already paid, etc.
Paper trail- request all they are stating in writing via regular, US mail. Do not believe them or pay a dime until you can verify the debt is legit. If they are unwilling to send you anything, then they cannot attempt to collect. Notify them of this and tell them to cease any further calls, then hang up. Do not give them your real address- use a PO box or business address.Consumers have rights!

I got call from this number today lady got really rude with me when i started to ask questions said i had payday loan deposited into my account in 2008 she knew the bank i dealt with how do these people get our information is what i want to know she threatened me with civil suite when i was nice and told her i needed information about this debt she flew off the handle at me she said eiher you didnt or didnt get it she got me in tears i was so upset.

Receiving calls daily from this number. Always hang up! You would have received mail notification if you owed anything.
Also another group calling in the middle of the night saying a relative is in trouble and that you need to get money sent right away. It's a scam and if your relative is in jail/hospital then there will be a call during the day when you are more clear headed.
