Female voice recording stating its the IRS today and yesterday. I hung up before she was done.

This number left voicemail saying they're IRS and I need to return call asap to avoid legal action against me. So I called... a woman with Hindu accent answered and asked what my name is and if I still live at xxx address and when I said no she hanged up. I called back again, she answered and after i told her my name she hanged up. I called back about 4 times and nobody answered. I called from different phone and and they answered right away... young guy with African accent said i owe money to irs and they sent me letters to my old address and because I didn't follow up they will start legal action against me. I asked him if he's a real irs and what his name is he didnt answer my questions. Instead was saying that i owe money to IRS because i either didnt pay taxes or my tax return was prepared incorrectly. I asked him again if he is a real IRS and he called me a criminal and said i will go to jail. Wtf???!!! I do pay my taxes correctly.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
