There have been a few arrests of US money mules connected with this scam.  But the bulk of the calls came form India and Pakistan.  As such they are beyond the reach of US law.  Get a call blocker.

Just received same call from someone I could barely understand.  I do not owe IRS anything either, total scam.

i have received two calls from a Nicki Johnson with a time sensitive matter and i should involve my attorney.  so i called back the first time and a guy with a Nigerian accent wanted to know how much social security i was receiving.  so i asked for his badge number which he ignored and said the police would be out to arrest me.  at my house.  however, i live on a boat and it would be very hard to find me.  i believe they are targeting seniors.  however, i'm going to call the real IRS to report them because this is now harrassment.

Total scam.  Originates in India and Pakistan. IRS does NOT initiate contacts by phone.  US mail only.  Ignore and block the calls.

i phoned they said they asked for my cell # that i received the call on... i know that my cell # is not connected with any IRS issues.  i could not understand the person on the other line.. said they did an audit of my taxes from 2009-2014 and that i was found to have intentionally frauded them for 2012 and 2013... this is not true...
