This company or credit service called me, the recording said we can save you money on your high interest credit card, press '1' to talk to an operator. I pressed '1' and the person asked me for the balance in my visa account. I asked who is this? he hung up. I have been getting a lot of 800, 866, and 406 prefix calls, I am on the fed do not call list. I know if they are not selling they can call. But many of these are selling, like this one selling lower interest credit.
Follow the advice of the previous poster's saying never give out information to anyone....

Receiving calls to a "Do Not Call" registered number 607-770-3478

This number is used with other similar numbers to torment us.  Repeated harassment, several calls a day.  Nothing has been successful is stopping them. I even blocked their number with my local phone service.

Please help me. I found a linked number 406-478-2759 who have also been calling.  I am attempting to contact their phone carrier to complain about the misuse of that phone.  Everyone please join me in contacting Verison to try to stop these people.

Called unsolicited marketing number, 11:21 am 1/19/11. We are on the do-not-call list, but solicitation came anyway.

Got a call from this number in the afternoon.  I answered after 3 rings, but nobody was there.  I called back but got a recording asking me to hit "1" to be removed from their list.  I did not hit any numbers, but just hung up.  I did complete the FCC form online.  It takes about three minutes.  If you receive calls from this number, hang up and go to http://www.fcc.gov and fill out a complaint form.  Perhaps enough pressure can shut this time waste company down.
