Calls daily about 6:30.  My Sentry blocks it automatically after one ring.

These SOBs had the nerve to call on a Sunday! Spewing crap about an upcoming increase in electric rates. They want to come to your house to do any energy audit. This is total BS. I told them they don't know what they are talking about. FPL hasn't raised rates in years --- in fact they just lowered our rates recently. THIS IS A HUGE SCAM. When will these idiots get the message?

Ditto with me.  My Sentry does what they advertise.

I keep getting calls from women, saying, "Can I speak to [name] regarding the electric bill?".

This is annoying.  I have asked who is behind the "energy awareness program" but they hang up or talk over me.  Very pushy, rude, and unprofessional.  The number that called me today was: 1-386-233-3745, which is a VoIP line.  These people deliberately guard their anonymity and refuse to tell me the name of the company they represent.  When I call the number back, it is a female voicemail asking me to leave a call-back message for the "Energy Awareness Program".

My electric provider is Progress Energy and I wonder if someone got hold of a customer list and is exploiting it.  The next time they call, I will pretend to be interested so I can find out more and as soon as I have identification information, I will go after them with a vengeance.  I've had about 8 calls in last two weeks, they use different local numbers from which to call, and they repeatedly ignore my requests not to call again.

I did not answer this call, but caller left a voice mail. Caller claimed this was my final notice and the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me.
