I believe this is a scam call. Claimed to be w/ some breast cancer charity. When I asked the third time how she got my number she hung up. RUDE

I got a call from this number today - asked for my husband at first - when told her he wasn't available - I got a "GREAT!".... then blah blah.... it sure sounded like a canned phone call - it was just wierd...she asked me how I spell my name -ME: I just said use my husband's name - HER: oh- we need to verify the spelling - ME" no.... what is the web address - I'll look myself.... She then cuts me off and asks me to verify my address - ME: um... again no.... I hung up on her.  Same thing as above poster - said some kind of breast cancer something or other.... Never heard of it -

Just received call from this number did not answer or get a message, I always look here to see unknown numbers that call. A person above mentioned breast cancer charity don't know if it's coincidence but I also just received solicitation in the mail from the National Breast Cancer Research Center a project of Walker Cancer Research Institute, Washington,DC so the notice claims. claims to be Annual Fund Drive for my area. I have never heard of this charity so read the back info which says they have raised $ 10,761,022 in last year! Here's where they state where the money goes:
62.32 percent fundraising
5.29.    ".          Administration
3.64.     ".         Research program services
28.75.    ".         Public education costs which included establishing a donor base and costs incurred in disseminating info contained in solicitations!
Are they Kidding! What a scam! Sure hope people read the fine print on the back of Voluntary Reply Form as they call it! Oh they also state they are independent and not affiliated with American Institute for Cancer Research, Cancer Fund of America, or American Cancer Society!
Like I said don't know if the phone and the above are connect my caller ID came up as BCFA 319-774-4535.
Who gives these organization charity status and let's them pray on people!!! Disgusting!

7.31.14  6:38 pm.  We also received a phone call from BCFA 319-774-4535 (caller ID).  We didn't answer it nor did they leave a message.  After reading the above posts, I'm glad we didn't.  Thanks for the info.
