UPDATE: I took the call from them at 8 a.m. this morning and played into their game to get as much info as possible. They are reading from scripts, and if you ask them anything that goes off-script, they transfer you. I spoke to 3 people this morning: Louis Wilson, Heather Lawson and Ben Foster. In looking up Heather Lawson, I see complaints about this scam dating back to 2006!! Why can't we stop this?! This personal information should not be released when people apply for a payday loan.

When I asked for an address, they gave me 42 Broadway 5th Floor NY, NY 10004, and said they are the DCA Law Firm - Department of Corporate Affairs. In actuality, there IS a DCA at this address, but it is the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs.

When "Ben Foster" no longer felt like making up stories to answer my questions (such as "If this was in collections, why haven't I received a written notice within 5 days of initial contact, as per the law under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)?"), he said they would go ahead and process my file and we could deal with it at the courthouse on Monday. I sweetly answered "Oh yes, let's go ahead and do that." He was a bit surprised and then asked for my attorney's info, so I said "Yes, he definitely wants to talk to you" and gave him the info. Then I told him that we were aware this is a scam, that I have already reported him to the FTC and FBI, and that all calls were being recorded. I told him to never ever call here again or he would be the one showing up at the courthouse. I hung up. No callback yet. I am sick to my stomach with what these people are doing to scared, financially-strapped people.

i received several calls from this # i finally called an attorney cause they would not give me any information. It was a lady with a heavy middle eastern voice and she left a message theartening me. I said oh no u not so I called back and they would not give me information to who and why i owe money. I refuse to pay anyone without documentation. I have learned my leason.

hey everyone out there receiving calls from these scammers. please file a report to your attorney general and call 1 877 ftc help. hopefully if we all make these complaints to the right authorities they will stop! who knows how many unsuspecting people have fallen for this so far!

I spoke with the FTC and they have their number and they instructed me to go to their web site www.ftc.gov and contact the consumer protection agency. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE FOR THE STATE OF THE 315 AREA CODE. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE.

My wife has been getting the calls for two days now. They come up on caller ID as 00000. She returned a call to "Kevin Miller" and was informed that she was being sued, 3 charges, for a payday loan that she never took out (illegal in our state). He claimed that she was to be in court tomorrow and that someone would be at our home and her workplace to "Take" her to the courthouse. When she asked for more information he became very agitated and rude. She hung up on him. We later placed a second call and his story changed. Instead of being in court tomorrow he claimed that we "had not listened to him correctly" and that he was going to "File" tomorrow, and then he went right back to there being someone here to "Take" her to court in the morning. I demanded that he fax me the information related to the case and he rudely refused. When my wife informed him that we had contacted our atty. and that all further communication would have to go through our atty. "Mr.Miller" hung up on us. Initial investigation showed that the # was a land line in Carthage, NY. After talking with the Carthage PD I was informed that it is a cell # registered in that area. There is no record of any "LLC Law Firm" in NY State. This is a fraud!

I just got a call from 315 519 2921 stating I was being sued for a 5000 debit. He refused to give me any information..He hung up and I got another call but they asked for someone else. I lost it..They guy said I would pay for it...I dont know what that means.,..this is scary...
