UPDATE: I took the call from them at 8 a.m. this morning and played into their game to get as much info as possible. They are reading from scripts, and if you ask them anything that goes off-script, they transfer you. I spoke to 3 people this morning: Louis Wilson, Heather Lawson and Ben Foster. In looking up Heather Lawson, I see complaints about this scam dating back to 2006!! Why can't we stop this?! This personal information should not be released when people apply for a payday loan.

When I asked for an address, they gave me 42 Broadway 5th Floor NY, NY 10004, and said they are the DCA Law Firm - Department of Corporate Affairs. In actuality, there IS a DCA at this address, but it is the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs.

When "Ben Foster" no longer felt like making up stories to answer my questions (such as "If this was in collections, why haven't I received a written notice within 5 days of initial contact, as per the law under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)?"), he said they would go ahead and process my file and we could deal with it at the courthouse on Monday. I sweetly answered "Oh yes, let's go ahead and do that." He was a bit surprised and then asked for my attorney's info, so I said "Yes, he definitely wants to talk to you" and gave him the info. Then I told him that we were aware this is a scam, that I have already reported him to the FTC and FBI, and that all calls were being recorded. I told him to never ever call here again or he would be the one showing up at the courthouse. I hung up. No callback yet. I am sick to my stomach with what these people are doing to scared, financially-strapped people.

Yeah. I just received a call from them, they said that cash partners of america was sueing me for $5000.00. When I asked for some paperwork they wouldn't send it to me. They wouldn't give me a contact to cash partners of america, which if you google nothing comes up for that, and told me when I ask for the number to contact who was sueing me. They said I wouldnt be able to find it and I can't talk to them, I have to go thru them. Spoke with suporvisor, Brad Smith, which for a foreigner is not a right name. I contacted who I had a loan with and they said they had a couple people call saying that they called them, he told me it was a scam and they do not outsend any info. I got number to report this place to the FTC 877-382-4357, there are people that have fell for it but dont. I called Brad back and told him if he showed up at my job to take me to court bc he wouldn't tell me where it was, then the cops would be here waiting for him. THIS IS A SCAM DONT PAY THEM!!! DONT FALL FOR IT, THEY HAVE NO REAL WEBSITE, THERE IS NO LLC LAW FIRM IN NEW YORK!!! THEY WILL GET CAUGHT EVEN IF THEY DO USE FAKE NAMES!!

So I recieved a call from a guy who said his name is Kevin Miller. First on my cell phone then at work. He said he was calling from LLC Law Office. Judging from what I've read its a scam. I missed the call when he called my cell phone and he left a message saying that he needed a returned call from me or my attorney and left the number of 315-519-2921. At the end of the message he said "if I don't hear from you or from your attorney either all I can do is wish you luck as the situation unfolds on you." About a week later I recieved a call from the same guy with the same heavy accent and the same fake name at work. He said he needed my attorney's information as I had been deemed the primary suspect in a case that was going to unfold tomorrow. I guess if there is a case unfolding on me then I'll know it tomorrow LOL. My question... How do I get this "Kevin Miller" to stop calling me?

The only thing is sign up for national do not call list at Federal Trade Commission website, and you should also report that phone number to the FTC as well. Thats what I am doing, and they will investigate and hopefully catch them. I spoke with Kevin Miller first, and the suppose to be supervisor, Brad Smith the other times. They wont give you no info and told them if they show up at my work the cops will be there for them and they hung up. Everyone needs to report to FTC so they can get caught and leave us alone. number to call is 877-382-4357. Lets get these people caught

I got a call today from Jacob Martin. He said he works for a company to get money from payday loans. The company name was Cash Partner of America. He said I owe $1435 for a loan I took out in 2009. I did not take a loan out to that company. They threatened to come to my job and serve me papers to myself and my company. It is a weird feeling when people knows so much about you when you did not give them this information. Also said if I go to court I have to pay $5484. They said that I have allegations of check fraud, violation of banking laws and threat by default. I go real scared so I came call my lawyer friend who saw the scam on Google.

I recd a call from edward at LLC law office and he told me I was being sued by Cash Partners of America and I was told that I owed 5400. I then spoke with a Rachel and I was advised to fax a letter so they can process my credit card. I gave them the information but I did not fax all the required documents. She stated once I fax the documents they will process my credit card payment. I decided to look up the telephone number before I sent any additional information. I am glad I did I am not sending any additional info. The first gentleman I spoke with stated his name was Edward, and like ItsMe, he kept saying OH MY GOD you don't know about this, I said no, he stated that the people I used as references would be responsible and they would have to pay the money, I told him I was not that stupid they can't be because they did not sign any papers. This rachel has been calling me to so I would fax additional info by I am not. I am going to contact the BBB on this company this is ridiculous.
