UPDATE: I took the call from them at 8 a.m. this morning and played into their game to get as much info as possible. They are reading from scripts, and if you ask them anything that goes off-script, they transfer you. I spoke to 3 people this morning: Louis Wilson, Heather Lawson and Ben Foster. In looking up Heather Lawson, I see complaints about this scam dating back to 2006!! Why can't we stop this?! This personal information should not be released when people apply for a payday loan.

When I asked for an address, they gave me 42 Broadway 5th Floor NY, NY 10004, and said they are the DCA Law Firm - Department of Corporate Affairs. In actuality, there IS a DCA at this address, but it is the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs.

When "Ben Foster" no longer felt like making up stories to answer my questions (such as "If this was in collections, why haven't I received a written notice within 5 days of initial contact, as per the law under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)?"), he said they would go ahead and process my file and we could deal with it at the courthouse on Monday. I sweetly answered "Oh yes, let's go ahead and do that." He was a bit surprised and then asked for my attorney's info, so I said "Yes, he definitely wants to talk to you" and gave him the info. Then I told him that we were aware this is a scam, that I have already reported him to the FTC and FBI, and that all calls were being recorded. I told him to never ever call here again or he would be the one showing up at the courthouse. I hung up. No callback yet. I am sick to my stomach with what these people are doing to scared, financially-strapped people.

I received several messages at my job while I was off (I work overnight) from these people. I finally called them back at the number they left (646-543-4069). A woman with Indian accent told me that I was being sued by Cash Partners of America for check fraud and theft by deception for receiving funds and not paying them back. The amount I supposedly owe is $5,484.87. She said that the authorities would be coming to pick me up from my job or my home at 11AM tomorrow, to take me to the courthouse. When I asked which courthouse, she said the charges hadn't been filed yet. I told her that I was looking forward to seeing the authorities tomorrow. She told me to have a good day and hung up. What a SCAM!!!

This guy just called me saying I was being sued for 5,000 dollars from cash partners of America He said his name was Kevin jones and gave me his # 516-833-3409. He was also asking for my lawyers info and saying anything to get more info on me I let him talk to my wife and she got rude with him he hung up and has never called back sense

They have a new number folks. Its now 646-543-9184. Its amazing how everyone has the same exact amount owed and borrowed the same $300.00 My issues go even further with this, they called any number associated with my previous home address, to include contacting a renter for the home I have, my parents, and other family members. They claim they will contact your boss and make them aware that you have committed FRAUD. Blocking the phone number doesn't seem to work either. I have filed charges locally with my police department, contacted the ftc, and all local court systems in my area. It seems that all of them were already aware of this SCAM. As of right now, no COPS have showed up at my door...I will send a followup post. By the way, the FTC says they are not located in NY, but India somewhere and have purchased several phone numbers across the U.S. in hopes of finding someone that will actually meet their demands for money. Keep reporting this and also go to www.ftc.gov to file a complaint or call 877-382-4357.

thanks for the info!I believe this is the new form of terrorism. why cant the government stop this?i get calls from these freaks all the time and it needs to stop.I will report them everytime they call.they really can scare someone to death!

I just got a call from them on my cell. Told me because I was being disrespectful, I was going to "go to the jail" and "getting behind the bars." I can't believe this has been going on for this long. Where do I go to report them?
