Scammer just left that message on my phone.  

Same message only at 7:30am. I didn't pick up. A voice sounding like it was in a tunnel.

"Hi, my name is Ralph Goodman and I am calling you from the legal department of IRS Washington.

The nature and the purpose of this call is to inform you that we have received a legal petition notice concerning a tax fraud against your name.

So before this matter goes to the federal claims courthouse or before you get arrested, kindly call us back on our number as soon as possible.

The number to reach us out is 253 204 7575. I repeat it is 253 204 7575.

Thank you and have a good day ahead."

Just answered a call on my cell phone and the caller asked for me by name. Stated that this call was to inform me that he was from the IRS and the IRS received a legal petition notice concerning a tax fraud against my name in New York. He quickly gave his name and some employee number. Hung up on him.

got the same call from that number..looked it up..even called them back and asked them to stop calling my number..and the guy asked why...I stated because it's a scam...because I noticed it online. Then I mentioned that I will contact my lawyer with the voice mail he left...he hung up. I looked up the location of the call...it comes from Auburn, WA. (not DC)
