Got a phone message saying that they were the IRS and before we got arrested or went to federal court, call this number.

Just got the same message

just got the same call but I played along for a minute.  I asked the caller does he know what today is, and he said Tues. Nov. 11.  
And then I asked if this had any meaning to him. There was a pause and he said no.  I then told him he should because TODAY IS VETERAN"S DAY YOU SCAMMER!! AND ALL FEDERAL OFFICES ARE CLOSED!!  I then hung up.

I called the IRS regarding this SCAM phone call and was told they DO NOT conduct business such as this over the phone and to make a formal complaint to call the Treasury Inspector General @ 800-366-4484 or go to WWW.TIGTA.Gov and file a complaint through that website.

Thank you for posting the website to make a compliant.  I had this scam pulled on me this morning and have reported it.  I had never had a call like this before and was extremely upset.  I can only imagine what an elderly person would be going through had they received a call like this.  I wish some legal recourse could be done to these people, but since they are not in the US, I doubt it.
