we were called by a Hispanic male    from above number  and  215 268 2625 who stated my family member  had just crashed into his cousins ( beamer )  and they were demanding 900 to cover the deductible on cousins policy  they also stated  no police   dont try and call  (my) family member who crashed into his cousin as he was irate at the scene and they took him  and his phone ( how they allegedly got our number to call)  to the grandmothers basement and they have a gun to his head and will kill him if we do not wire the money  and when we wire the money he will release him
we phoned local police for help they said it was a scam and dont wire money   until you are in the situation this may seem so   although caller from this number referenced  gang LIONS ?  and knew my family members names ( social media  so careful what U POST and was , in  fact was a scam ,  but 2 hrs of threats and not being able to reach family member ( not allowed to use phone at work ) was horrific .....  karma

You also should go to the media and let them know what happened.  This is important because the crooks could be targeting your area.  This is a common scam hitting certain minority communities.  Some sort of crime ring operating out of of the Dominican Republic.
