didn't answer left no message. spoofed number.

This time it is a computer error scam

Just got a robocall from 1 (212) 660-1821, so said *69. Pressed "1" to "order" a medical alert bracelet from "Sears", and nothing happened.  Hung up, and tried to call the number.  It was busy... or it was actually a faster ring; what we used to call a "recall" sound.  

I have never received SO many robo-calls in my life than I have on this new land line number.  I wonder if we should get a new number?  We went back to having a land line in case of an emergency and our cell phones weren't working. I wonder if we could even get an emergency call out between all these robo-calls coming in?  ;-)  

I received my first call from these clowns today. No message left on voicemail, and the caller id said "COLO". I have no idea who this is. Believe me I get on average 5-10 scam calls from marketers daily. Like many people I was about to go crazy. Just as information Panasonic makes a home telephone system, a base unit with three handsets that will block up to 250 numbers. It also blocks "No Number" calls, those that present no identification on Caller ID at all, not even a number. Once you program the scammer number into the phone system you never hear it again when they call. The system goes off hook after the first ring so they never get as far as voicemail or your home answering system. It has brought me peace of mind and worth the $100 I spent for it.

Recieved a call today 4/24/2014 from this particular phone number and as usual, no VM was left. It showed up on my CID as COLO. Don't know what "COLO" is and like so many other calls I recieve on a daily basis from Telemarketers, Solicitors or Scammers, just let my answer machine handle it. Of course, I don't return there phone calls even if a message is left.
