These calls keep coming. Seems like we're paying a phone bill just to receive annoying calls.

These [***] called me last year and said that I was eligible for $7,000 in free money from the government. They called me again just before Christmas. The guy on the phone said I was eligible to receive a $7,000 grant from the US government that I wouldn't have to repay. The US government doesn't have 7 cents!!!! When he asked me for my account information, I told him I don't give that information out to anyone I do not know or trust. I asked him to send me a paper check, and he said they can't do that????? I was in the Air National Guard for 14 years and got the GI Bill. I got my monthly stipend in the form of a paper check every month!! They just called me again and asked for Nicholas Bergram. I told her I was Nicholas Bertram and that I didn't know any Nicholas Bergram. Hopefully, that will be the last time I hear from these idiots.

This is a scam! Do not give them any information. Says they have a federal grant just for you.  Read Slim's post

Called me and said they were with the United States Government IRS.

Can't be the Federal Government with that number for two reasons:

1) No number anywhere has "000" as an exchange
2) "202" is the area code for Washington, DC. All Federal Government Offices in the DC Metro Area are closed today due to a snowstorm.
