calls our place of business and asked for owner by first name (as if he already knew him). When told that I was the office manager and how I could assist, he quickly stated "I'm guessing he's not available - I'll just call back."

She was busy speaking to a co-worker when I answered, then asked for owner by first name. When told he was not available, she said she would try back later.

We have repeatedly requested them to take us off the list - they always argue
saying they aren't trying to sell us anything and they need to talk to us before they can take us off the list.
They have called every day for the last 5 days, sometimes 3 times a day.
