Caller from 985-778-4834 definitely Indian. Said he was technical support for Windows and "they' had received information that my computer detected problems and reported the problems to them. I asked why Windows just didn't email me (which they wouldn't anyway). Then I asked why Windows wouldn't just fix it. No intelligible answer. Told him I would check them out online and he could call me back tomorrow.

got a call from someone with an Indian accent reporting that my computer had sent them a trouble message and wanted access to my computer.  They are full of it and probably wanting to get sensitive info off the computer if they get access (never happen)  Told him he was fill of s*** and that I was using a Mac and hung up on him.  He called back and I just hung up on him.

Just the other night the local news had a story on this scam. This guy called and said I had a virus on my computer. I told him he a a f****** liar. He said f*** you and I said Go F*** yourself then hung up on him. Felt good.
UNFORTUNATELY PEOPLE DO FALL FOR THIS ALL THE TIME. That's why they keep doing it. With such a thick accent, I'm surprised people don't realize these jerks are thieves. They probably got my number off the eBay hack that just happened, as I've never got one of these calls before.

Got my call today - thank you for the info - caller to return call in 7 hours gives me time to check for spam related info. Here you are and helpful - same Indian accent - very interesting way for the guy to pass the time and get a kick.  I have 6 hours to think of a response when he calls - I will go to Microsoft site and report the phone number - be nice if someone showed up at the door and looked at the tech materials he must have...Thank you so much for posting...g

Got call from same number. Followed along until he asked to connect remotely to my PC. Wanted me to launch ammyy program. No way. Told him not to call back.
