Left a voice message that was not an electronic voice. It was a male with heavy Indian accent telling me the tax department is suing me and I need to call... Returning the call and it is a female with a heavy Indian accent as well. SCAM!!!

Is this legit

IRS Scam:

The IRS does not need to sue anyone.  They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office.  Several of them.  Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for.  Again delivered by the Post Office.  Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own.  If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge?  They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.

979-658-7071, received a message and said it was the US Treasury and if I did not call back I would have to see a magistrate or a federal grand jury.

I just call from this number telling me they wanted me to appear before a magistrate judge for a felony hearing. Very heavy Indian accent. I check reverse number call but could not find a name. Location was in Wallis.  I did not call back.
