I have getting calls from 972-914-2577 for weeks; i blocked the number when after a little research, I found this to be a number for SiriusXM satellite radio. I bought a car 5 months ago that had SiriusXM free for 3 months, never listened to it and did not renew. Since the expiration of the 3 month trial, I have been inundated with offers through the mail as well as calls to continue service with SiriusXM, all of which I have ignored. My call blocker allows 1 ring before disconnecting the party on the block list and logs the number in the incoming call list; most of these idiot scammer/telemarketer types get the message after 2, maybe 3 tries and quit using that particular number to call my phone...not SiriusXM radio. As I said, this has been going on for WEEKS so I called the toll-free number (1-866-463-5650) listed on one of MANY pieces of junk mail they have sent me and spoke with Customer Service...bottom line, I told them to stop calling my number, that I was not interested in SiriusXM radio and after this blitz of calls and mail, would NEVER be interested in SiriusXM radio...I told them I was on the government Do NOT Call registry, had been on it since its inception almost 2 decades ago...and asked the question...WHY IS SIRIUSXM RADIO CALLING ME??? She responded that I was NOT on THEIR DNC list... Well, folks, there it is...the government DNC registry is not only impotent against scam artists but against 'legitimate' ( and I use THAT term loosely) companies as well.
