Its a scam! Dont give them your information!

This is UT Dallas.  It is the Comet Call program calling alumni and friends to update records, share University news and request support.

It is a SCAM. 1ST School do not call in late Hours, they don't work after 8pm. Second, How come someone who's calling me on behalf of the school doesn't know my UTD email "Red flag". Worse of everything they asked over the phone for donation. UTD do not ask for any money over the phone. People need to watch out and be cautious.

This is annoying! I asked these callers to not call me again, but I keep receiving calls every month at very late hours. The strangers ask me to give information about my current address "so they can update what they have already in a system". There are so many identity thefts these days, someone got my name and phone number from UTD records and now bugs me every four weeks or so. I blocked it now, and will not recommend other alumni to give personal in formation to these weirdos.

When you ask lawbreakers to obey the law, you can expect a few snags.  You are on the right track, keep on ignoring and blocking, this does work!  Good job being aware of how easy it is for your contact info to get out in the wild.  This is being smart, and staying safe!
