Received a call from "Merchant Services" (1-972-852-0898) saying they needed to correct an over billing on our account. She asked me to pull a monthly statement from the previous month and divide the total charges and fees by the total sales. After telling her the percentage I got, she said she needed me to fax her a copy of the statement addressed to her attention (Barbara Ray)  at 1-855-924-2774 (Fax)  I asked why she needed that, if she works for our processor she should have it. She hung up. I realized this couldn't be legitimate and immediately put the number into google. Be very careful and don't give account information out to anyone!

Got a call from this number trying to tell me they are taking care of over billing.  Would only identify themselves as "merchant services".
When I asked to be sent information about them,  I was told let me see what I can do and I'll get back to you.   Shady!

Called and said she was calling regarding an overbilling on our processing account. She asked me to pull our statement and divide the number of total charges and fees by the total sales. When I gave her the percent total from that she told me she needed me to fax her a copy of our statement so she can review it to correct an overbilling. I asked her why she needed to review it. If she was calling from our current Merchant Services provider then she should have that already. She hung up on me. I blocked number in our phone and put in as a scam caller.

Called my place of employment to discuss the over billing for my credit card machine....we do not even have a credit cards machine, when i explained she was calling a federal government municipality she hung up on me... LOL
