Same with me, the one day I picked up the phone, and said "look you have been calling here all day! I have been sick in bed and trying to sleep!! I don't answer numbers I don't know, so if you have business with me leave me a msg!" and hung up the phone, they never had a chance to say anything but hello....

I got a call from them today, and I don't recall the name of the company but it had something to do with some student loan forgiveness program they claimed I qualify for.  I told the guy repeatedly that I'm in the process of a chapter 13 bankruptcy right now and wasn't interested until I discuss it with my attorney but he continued to push and made me feel kind of ridiculed that I wasn't jumping at this "opportunity."  Maybe it is a good thing, but until I discuss it with my attorney, I didn't want to commit to anything.
