Asked for the owner by name, caller said he was from Sentry Energy.  Caller stated that he was inquiring about a project he was working on (BS alert went off in my head).  I put him on hold for a few seconds to look up the number here.  I picked the phone back up and I was going to tell him that the owner wasn't available, but I found a dead line.  They call was obviously fake, probably trying tricks to get to talk to the owner for electric or gas bill reselling.

A man has called the past 2 days and asks for the owner, by name. When told he is away from the office, they refuse to give contact info and hang up quickly........a scam!!!

Just got a call from this number. He said there was a project in Kansas he was working on in regards to drilling. I asked how he got my information and he froze...I said if you can't tell me who I spoke with in the past we need to end this call, and he hung up.

Receive this call at least once a week asking for the Owner by name. When I state he isn't in the office he says "oh, no message I will just call him on his cell" and then waits for me to say "sure, do you have his cell number?" NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! I swear people who make these calls are idiots - even if I did need what you are selling (or whatever), now we will NEVER buy from you because you tried to scam us!

Got this same call. Asked for the owner by first name. Not here... Do you know when they will be in? Not sure of his schedule.  I'll just call back later... Um hum, you do that. Unfortunately the largest part of my job is wasted time answering calls like these. This part of my job is to "filter" every single call that comes into the office. If I smell scam stench...guess what...it ain't gettin' past me...EVER!
