Same thing happened here.  Wouldn't send anything USPS.  There isn't a law firm by that name within a 400 mile radius of the address they provided you.  Contacted our local sheriff's office and nothing pending to be served.  Just makes you wonder how they get names and phone numbers of family members.

Well that address is a Western Union and they probably wanted you to send the money that way.  I can't find a company with that name on the net through any of the search engines.  Probably someone impersonating a debt collector looking to steal money.

I fail to see in this day and age why people are so surprised that these thieves get the names of all your relatives.  Do a web search of your name and you will be surprised what comes up.  I'll bet you can even find a satellite picture along with the street view of your house, out there for all to see.

A VM was left with a relative AND on my cell from Kevin Harper "Computer Voice" leaving case # reference and info that a civil complainant: has been filled:  2 charges against me and papers would be served at place of employment and/ or at home. call 972-362-1077 to make arrangements with the Plaintiff .
While searching the web all I can find is Level3 VoIP in Dallas, TX
No registered listings in White or Yellow pages, the number is a landline in Texas, I can PAY to receive "info" or "Full Report"  on who owns the #.... through PeopleFinder, Reverse Lookup, Spokeo, Free Phone Tracer, PeopleSmart, Intellus and Been Verified.

A VM left on my phone by Leigh Braufmann name and phone number on caller ID 832-742-7937.  Message said that I was in breach of contract and falsified information and that unless I returned the phone call to 972-362-1077, a civil suit would be filed and I would be served--we could either handle/settle the matter.  I was also give a reference number. When I called the 972 phone #, I was asked to verify my name and SSN--at the point I asked the man are you serious?  I will not be giving you my  SSN and I believe this is a scam and I will be reporting you to the Attorney General's Office and hung up the phone.  Did a reverse phone # search and came up with the 972 belonging to a Leigh Braufmann, and it was a land line somewhere in Dallas.  Called the 972 number again and asked for Mr. Braufmann, of course I was told there was no one there by that name.  Called again and was told he was not available.  I asked whom I was speaking with the lady id herself by first name.  I then asked the name of the the company as she said and spelled the company name "Baldwyn, Houser, Lehmann, and Associates" and this office was in GA.  She did not know when Braufmann would be available, but offered to help me, I told her I would only talk to Braufmann and would call back, she did not know when he would be available.  Do a search for "Baldwyn, Houser, Lehmann, and Associates" and the 972 number is found and all is associated.  What a joke.  Did call AG's office and report.  Of yea, I also called the 832 phone #  and a VM stated that the mailbox was full and to try back later.
