Got a call from this number Aug 24 5:02pm. No message.

Have gotten a number of calls from this number lately; caller ID says Waxahachie TX. No message left.

Jerks!!! Some guy called and asked for me casually by my first name. Phone disconnected.  I called the number and it gives a recording that says it's for a campaign center.  

Get many calls from this number.  When answered, no one is on the line.  Would love to know how to stop these calls.  Obviously, DNC Registry is not the answer.  Have been on this list for quite some time and have confirmed that our number is listed.

Lynn,  the DNC Registry is not for all unwanted calls. The  sole purpose for it's creation and existence is to provide Telemarketers (Telephone marketing businesses)   who are registered with the FTC,   with a list of those who do not wish to receive Telephone Sales or Marketing calls from these Legitimate American businesses.  They are required to purchase this list monthly.   Most people have no Idea how the DNC works or it's only purpose.  They assume it is to block all of their unwanted calls,  when in fact,  it blocks absolutely  no calls.   It is just a list for those legitimately registered businesses who don't wish to offend the wishes of those on the list,  and maintain a good public image.   Many organizations are exempt,   and political calls are one of those.  For violations by these Registered businesses,   it is 16K  Per. None of these businesses are willing to make harassing calls to anyone at the risk of that kind of money.   If they do,  they are easily found in the FTC Data base of which they are Registered.
