The call originated from Israel, not Texas.  The actual number is +972987889 and 972 is the nation code for Israel, not the area code for the Dallas area.  This has become a pretty common scam perpetrated by our supposed friends in Israel.  Beware!  They concentrate their calls on the 972 are code in the US.

Have received a scam call as well. I would check to see if these are originating from the Palestinian Authority.
