Same info as posted by others in this list. "Lower your credit card rates" is the supposed purpose. Might even be a possibility that this is a scam to get your account info for theft purposes.

The DO NOT CALL registry for the most part is not effective and needs to be stricter. To many telemarketing companies were pissed off about it and demanded changes such as the 30 day grace period. That needs to be removed. When you first place a number on the list you will get flooded with calls. The TM's know they have a 30 day window and boy do they make use of it. They found there way around it. How about better requirements for obtaining a phone number and major penalties for spoofing/fronting telephone numbers. Including shutting down the operation and maybe forced jail time/community service/restitution.

THIS NUMBER IS ONE TO LOWER YOUR INTEREST RATE, HERE'S HOW TO STOP THEM AND HAVE SOME FUN (PAYBACK).  ACT AS THOUGH ARE INTERESTED AND GIVE THEM A LOT OF BS TYING UP THEIR LINE.  WHEN THEY ASK FOR CARD # MAKE UP A 16 DIGIT # MAKE SURE THE LAST # IS A '7'. ON VISA OR MASTERCARD. KEEP THAT LINE TIED UP.  WHEN YOU TIRE OF TALKING TELL THEM THAT ALL THE INFO YOU GAVE THEM IS PURE BS, THATS WHEN THE FUN BEGINS.  HAVE NOT BEEN BOTHERED IN A LONF TIME.

If you call the number back you can get your number removed from their call list.  It is done without having to speak with a marketer.

The service provider number MUST terminate their access to the phone system NOW !

I just answered the call and said, "I'll call you right back if you give me your number." They hung right up and stopped calling. XD
