I keep getting these kind of calls too. Pressing "3" to be removed from their calling list doesn't seem to work. When I press "1" to talk to a live person and complain, they don't even let me finish complaining before they just hang up on me, but it still doesn't stop them from calling again. It's a waste of my time and seems it should be a waste of the tekemarketer's time, too. But here's an idea that might help stop them (and any other telemarketer). Go ahead and press "1" to talk to a live person. Ask for more information to engage the telemarketer and get them to go into their long script explaining the program. Put them on speaker phone so you can go about your other business while he or she rattles on. Pay just enough attention to stay engaged in the conversation. Occaisionally ask the person to repeat or better explain something. Don't give up any personal information. When you've played along with the caller long enough, tell the person why you're not interested in the program...then just be silent as the caller goes into another long monologue and tries to overcome your objection. When it's your time to talk again, just be silent. If you hang up, the person is liable to call you back again. Just be silent and let them decide when it's time to hang up. Or, after a long enough pause, simply tell the caller, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were still there. I thought you heard me say I wasn't interested." The caller might get the hint and realize how much time you just wasted for him or her.
