In all likelihood they got your name and number from a "cold call" list. It's a telephone directory that the phne company sells for a few hundred dollars. Chances are the scammers are cheap because they were using an old list (more than 7 years old). If these idiots call you, ask them what email address the errors are coming from. They don't have that. Neither windows, nor Microsoft contact people by phone and they do not call unsolicited. If they now have your name, it's simple; just tell them that you're sorry to inconvenience them but you just got the phone number and received a couple of calls for the last person who'd had that number. Then if they're persistent, ask them what email address their "error reports" came from. They don't have them because they don't exist. Once you establish that you know they're full of BS, simply tell them to remove you from their calling list and to never call you again. Once you've done that, if they ever call you again, you can file criminal charges against them. Good luck. :)
