It was the usual recorded message offering to lower my interest rate on my credit cards.
It was no different than dozens of similar calls I have gotten in the past.
As per usual, I reported the call on the donotcall.gov web site, but I also have contacted my financial institution. However, I have lost all confidence that reporting such calls does any good at all.
As per usual, I do not talk to their friendly customer service agent.
It seems that with the right technology, it would be possible to trace such calls and to shut down these operations. If we can send a sophisticated rover to Mars, it seems that we can trace such calls, but for some reason, we are not.
