Called, left no message.  CID: Out of area

Called yesterday and again today, they don't speak so I assume it's another scammer trying to fine tune his pitch before he says hello. I am on a do-not-call-list but this law is not respected by those traveling on the other side of the fence so to speak.  I wish some electronics wizard would create a phone where with a push of a button these people are unable to call you again and again over and over.

Probably some scammer...  I'll block them.

Richard above, My Panasonic phone can block callers.  It does not ring until it gets the caller ID.  If I have blocked the number it answers for 1 second and hangs up.  It's all silent to me.   Just google "panasonic call block".  They run about $80 on amazon and are very nice phones.  They can call you once but they never get through again.

Received call on Sunday lunch hour. I returned call to number on caller ID and man answered saying, "Thank you for returning my call. This is ___ with American Veterans."  I did not stay on the line longer to hear the spiel.

I have been receiving calls to my do-not-call-listed-number which apparently is an ineffective law and virtually of no value to those of us relying on this. Anyway, this idiot or idiots will call me and they will not speak so I assume when I bark a loud hello they know I am not some lonely little old lady they can manipulate into turning her last surviving dollar into there pockets. I cannot imagine how low a person can go, I guess they assume it is better to be a detriment to society than as asset, hope these low life have there day of suffering on the way.
