Today someone knocked on my door (I'm in Colorado) and I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the woman or the vehicle. When she left I found a message taped on the door with painters tape. The scrap of paper had my name handwritten on it and then it has typed "I have legal papers for you from the County Court. Please give me a call to arrange a time that is convenient for me to come back. If I don't hear from you, the procedure is to have the County Sheriff Department come out next. Thanks! Kim (970)388-3336." She handwrote "Call today. Last Notice. Please call." And underlined County Court, County Sheriff Department and Thanks! I receive one other one exactly the same about a month ago that said 2nd Notice (even though I never saw a 1st notice). I have no idea what this is for. The note does not look official and it does not say which county the papers are from. I have no idea how they got my address or my name. It looks like a scam, but it worries me that they know where I live. Does anyone have any additional information about this? I'm debating whether to call them or just let it go.
