Just got  call from this number stating that they were going to be in the area tomorrow assessing storm damage and asked if we would be home around noon. I heard that and hung up.

They called twice today, the first time no one spoke and eventually the line went dead. The second time, someone finally spoke up and also said they are with the "Business Connection Group" and asked if we were "still planning on moving."  When they asked for someone who no longer works here and then wanted to know who took their place I refused to answer and said this sounds fishy. They then responded that they has sent a survey a year ago and would send something by mail.

Just got a call on my cell from this 954 318 5584 number but did not answer. I screen my calls very heavily and unless it is a local call or someone I know I am not picking up. I am in Dallas Tx. It seems that these numbers are being spoofed and there is almost no real way to catch these guys. I've heard you can report them to consumer.ftc.gov, usa.gov, or scamwatch.gov as well as the BBB. Thing is, is alot of these calls, especially if the person sounds foreign, and spoofed by using dialers outside the US. That's how they bypass thw do not call list, which really sucks for those of us registered on the do not call list.

Best thing to do, is take down the number, screen shot amd messages they leave you (if you have voicemail to text on your phone like I do). And then click on the number and find where it takes you as you can set up to put the number on a call block list as well as a message block list. That way, your phone never rings and whoever it is can't leave you a message.

That really is our last line of defense against these spammers. Hope this helps y'all out some!

I never answer an unrecognized number. If it is important, the caller will leave a voicemail. No voicemail was left so I blocked the number.
