This appears to be a new scam with multiple phone numbers trying to trick people into answering. The caller ID simply reads, "Cell Phone   MN" and the phone number.

Today, I have received several calls from several different area codes from across the US. All of these calls have a caller ID of "Cell Phone" and the state for the area code of the phone number. All of the calls hang up after a few rings and do not leave a message.

This is clearly a scam trying to phish for personal information and steal from individuals.

If you do not 100% recognize a phone number as someone that you know, do not answer it. If the call is legitimate, the caller will leave a message that you can verify.
