I got a call from this number last week. The man identified himself and what comapny he was with, Portfolio something. He said my "realtive" listed me as an emergency contact. I had no realtive by the name he gave me. He knew my address and full maiden name. Then he said he would tell the lawyers I didn't know this person and they would investigate from there. Then he said good bye and hung up. My first reaction was that this is a scam of somekind but he didn't get any info from me that he didn't already have.

Had a similar experience.  Guy said he was from Central Portfolio Control (CPC).  Said my dad listed me as a contact for his account.  I asked my dad about this, he said he NEVER gave my number out to anyone for anything.  Not sure how this place got my contact info.

got a call from this number looking for my fiance, this is a collection agency, ruddest SOB you ever heard. I recommend that anyone getting a call from them tells them not to call you and give them no info about someone who is trying to get ahold of them

Got several phone calls from Cpc looking for someone I didnot know. They were rude!!!!! would not answer any questions I asked, said they had my dae of birth and SS# donot know how they got info, would not tell me the SS# they had. My suggestion to anyone getting a call from them, don't give any info about yourself.I'm afraid of Identify theft.

We have not had any business with this company.  This guy was incredibly rude and had information about my husband's family!  Do not give any information to these people!
