FTC just sued a large group of collection agencies located in the city of Corona, alleging numerous violations of debt collection laws.

If you are having any problems with illegal debt collection practices, and in particular if they are coming from a collection agency in southern California, or near Corona CA, contact FTC.

Got a similar call today - Said that they had made several calls (none prior) and that I had to call back today.  I did and they were trying to find someone that I didn't know.  After they asked me repeatedly if I knew this person, they said that I would be removed from the "list".  After I thought about it I called back because they had my name and number saying that someone had used it as a reference.  When I called back I got someone who refused to tell me what it was about and even who they were!  I said if someone used my name as a reference and they were calling me that I had a right to know what it was about.  They refused to tell me and when I asked what they did he refused to tell me and again said that my number would be noted as a "wrong number".  He again refused to tell me what their business was.
He then said they were "Platinum" (most likely a lie since nothing comes up on a search).  All I know is that my caller ID said Temecula CA

They are calling for my home for people that are NOT myself for a debt I do not owe.  I am not a deadbeat thank you very much stop being a self righteous [***].

This # also calls me with hang ups or asking for someone else. They are generally rude deadbeats that want to sit on their [***] and get paid to harrass people having a hard time or not. THE 99%
