Called, did not pick up. Ringing stopped after a few. Have been getting a number of calls the past couple of days with no Caller ID (and so I don't pick up).

Funny thing, the ID on my phone reads: "Banning, CA", not "California Police". Be aware, these are scammers for sure!!!

Same with me, no answer after I said, hi; So I blocked it. I noticed this call after I had downloaded several games on the net.

Just called me at 4:03 PM with no ID and no voicemail message. I assume spam for fraud based on the comments here (thanks!).

Same story as the other posters. Rang several times, disconnected, did not leave a message.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER answer a call from an unknown number.
If it is an emergency, there will be a detailed message with contact information. And, no, your grandchildren are probably not in jail needing bail.
